William G. Gillette, P.E.,
President of Razor’s Edge Bicycle Company has been involved in engineering
since 1983. Early in his career he
designed automated welding systems for the bicycle industry. He has designed and built recumbent
bicycles as a hobby since 1997, but had a long running interest in HPVs since
college. In late 2007 he took the leap
in pursuing a dream of getting involved in the recumbent bicycle industry
when he acquired the tooling and equipment for making the Hepcat and Koosah
recumbents. He moved this equipment to
East Tennessee. While there are several
well known titanium bike frame manufacturers nearby, Razor’s Edge Bicycles,
is now the only Complete bicycle manufacturer in the state. The frames, seats and stems are AMERICAN
made. Being an avid recumbent
rider, he has participated in several MS150 tours and has done the Natchez
Trace twice as well as several other
short and long distance tours. He has
the practical and industrial experience to manufacture a comfortable and
affordable recumbent. |
